What we expect
Your responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive contract management strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Oversee the entire contract lifecycle, from drafting and negotiating to execution and renewal
- Collaborate with legal, procurement and operations to review, analyze, and negotiate contracts, ensuring favorable terms
- Identify and manage contract risk, including identifying potential legal and financial liabilities
- Monitor contract performance and compliance, and initiate appropriate actions to mitigate risks or resolve issues
- Maintain a centralized contract repository and tracking system to ensure easy access and retrieval of contract information
- Provide guidance and training to internal stakeholders on contract- related matters and best practices
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards related to contract management and risk mitigation
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to develop and implement compliance programs and initiatives
- Conduct internal audits and reviews to assess compliance with contractual obligations and risk management procedures
- Stay informed about changes in laws and regulations and proactively update internal policies and procedures accordingly
- Provide guidance and training to employees on compliance matters and promote a culture of ethics and integrity
Who we are looking for
Your qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in legal administration, law and/or paralegal studies including relevant professional certifications
- Proven experience (8 + years) in contact management and risk management, within a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of contract law, risk assessment methodologies, and compliance regulations
- Exceptional negotiation and analytical skills, with an ability to identify and mitigate potential risks
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with an ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines
- Professional certifications in contract management or risk management (e.g., CPCM, PMP, CRISC) are highly desirable but not required
