TK Elevator is currently seeking an experienced Executive Vice President-West Region.
TKE is on the hunt for P&L leader who will drive the success of the Western Region on TKE’s Journey to One. As the Executive Vice President, reporting directly to the CEO of the Americas, you'll play a pivotal role in leading our company's transformation. We are looking for a strategic leader who is motivated to make a tangible impact on our profitability and the way we serve our customers.
As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you'll be tasked with ensuring that the Western Region not only meets but exceeds revenue and EBIT targets. You'll be at the helm of driving growth, pushing our sales team to surpass annual budgetary plans while driving efficiency and operational excellence.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Drives and supports a culture of safety throughout the organization and in region. Includes partnering with H&S to continuously improve safety performance, acting as the face of safety to all employees; and strategically leading programs involving safety to ensure successful execution.
- Partners with HR to build a culture that attracts and retains top talent to maximize human capital and diversity, creating a leading employee experience in the market.
- Strategically leads the Areas within the Region with an emphasis on empowerment and the growth of the service business via all methods available: construction, modernization, and repair. Includes nurturing an organizational culture that challenges others to generate breakthrough ideas and take well-reasoned risks.
- Improves business practices for higher level performance execution by introducing improvements based on fact-based analysis and benchmarking; and examining alternatives which include evaluating costs, risks, and benefits for the Regions.
- Strategically reviews P&L and other financial reports to evaluate the Regions’ performance to ensure budgetary targets are met and exceeded. Responsible for the Regions’ profit and loss which includes reviewing and approving budget plans for the Areas and presenting annual budgets to SLT.
- Strategically reviews relationships with customers and consultants to ensure a consistent level of service throughout the Region. Includes ensuring the Regions present a unified approach to servicing customers and provide a level of customer service that is differentiated from the competition.
- Analyses and defines a multi-year market-based strategy for the Region in line with overall Americas business strategy. Includes articulating evolving priorities for the business within a 3–5-year period; participating on corporate panels; asking questions which open new ways of seeing the business; and translating corporate strategy into a business strategy for the Regions.
- Creates insights about the marketplace by identifying the interrelationships among the company’s services and the customer, and how they contrast with the competition in relationship to the changing marketplace. Includes strategic involvement in all large contracts and bids.
- Maintains strong familiarity of company products by attending company training classes and reviewing factory equipment updates and supplier goods. Includes maintaining a strong understanding of TK Elevator, and its mission and objectives, ethical standards, and code of conduct.
Who we are looking for
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
This role manages subordinate supervisor(s) who supervise employee(s) and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, execution, and evaluation of these business areas. The individual carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems. All people related actions are to be executed in coordination with HR support and approval.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, Master’s in Business Administration, or related field a plus.
- Requires 10-15 years of experience in upper-level management in the elevator or closely related industry.
- Must have experience successfully operating a P&L more than $500MM.
- Must have managed diverse groups in a matrix organizational design.
- Must be very well organized, have a high energy level, strong work ethic, acute attention to detail and be very process oriented.
- Must be motivated, goal oriented and proactive.
- Ability to identify, own, understand, supervise and delegate to ensure accurate completion under strict timelines with minimal guidance; ability to react well under pressure and willing to accept responsibility.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; must be able to address business challenges and provide solutions.
- Must be team oriented and have the ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work and collaborate with employees and customers within and outside the regional office.
