TK Elevator is currently seeking an experienced Logistics Technician I in Middleton, TN.

Responsible for performing the essential functions associated with material flow and inventory integrity. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Facilitate inventory control utilizing supported system methods and physical verification.
• Provide area material replenishment support which consists of
• Monitor inventory replenishment standards.
• Research material shortages for root cause and problem solving.
• Support area changes.
• Maintain clean, orderly work areas according to 6S standards.
• Support Control Tower functions
• Daily Area order checklist and confirmation
• Audits
• Document and enter safety and quality opportunities in Process maps and Gensuite
• Identify and add parts to delivery database.
• Perform specific job functions in a methodical and logical manner to achieve targeted results and maintain attention to detail.
• Perform essential job functions with general supervision.
• Support department projects as needed.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Associate’s Degree in a related field preferred. Relevant work experience will be considered.
• High School Diploma and/or Technical School Diploma required.
• One to two years’ experience in logistics, inventory management, distribution or general manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of MRP systems (COPICS, SAP, ETL?) preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in lean material systems of lean production systems preferred.
• Familiarity with continuous improvement practices.
• Demonstrated ability to manually lift up to 50lbs as needed.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within the facility and across the organization (vertically and peer-to-peer).
• Possess strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Possess strong decision making and prioritization skills with moderate supervision.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook) required.
• Demonstration of stable job history.
