Test Engineer I (Middleton)

Support the manufacture of quality electronic products through the development and maintenance of electronic test equipment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Design test equipment for PC boards and control systems. Document test equipment designs using Microsoft Office and AutoCad.
• Research and purchase test equipment (Hi-pot testers, oscilloscopes, etc.)
• Develop computer automated test programs or ISO approved test procedures.
• Order equipment for test development (date acquisition hardware, vacuum fixtures, software, power supplies, etc.)
• Assemble and wire test equipment (drilling mounting holes, mounting hardware, labeling, wiring, etc.)
• Support Quality requests for test modifications and improvements.
• Train production employees to operate test equipment, and when necessary, help troubleshoot products in a production environment.
• Work with TKE vendors of electronics to help them establish testing.
• Troubleshoot problems with electronic circuitry, variable frequency drives, and elevator control systems.
• Provide assistance in resolving quality issues including field complaints and warranty issues.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field is required.
• Experience programming in one or more software languages: Lab-View, Visual Basic, C Sharp, Visual C++, Test Stand or similar software package.
