What we expect
We are looking for a Senior Manager – Global Mobility (d/f/m), in part-time.
Your responsibilities will include:
Program & Operational Leadership
- Oversee end-to-end global mobility operations, including assignment lifecycle management, local plus transfers, commuter, cross-border employment and complex cases.
- Drive cost control, budgeting, and continuous improvement through data, processes, and systems.
Stakeholder Partnership & Advisory
- Advise senior leaders and HR on cross-border mobility solutions and workforce deployment strategies.
- Align mobility programs with total rewards and provide clear guidance to managers and assignees.
Compliance, Risk & Policy Stewardship
- Ensure compliance with global tax, immigration, social security topics, employment, and payroll regulations.
- Mitigate risks through collaboration with advisors and leadership of audits and regulatory processes.
Vendor & External Partner Management
- Manage global vendor strategy, including selection, contracting, and performance oversight.
- Ensure service quality, cost efficiency, and consistent employee experience across regions.
Global Mobility Strategy & Governance
- Define and continuously evolve the global mobility strategy aligned with business, talent, and cost objectives.
- Develop global mobility guidelines while monitoring external trends to enhance programs.
Capability Building
- Provide mentorship, handle escalations, and strengthen global HR capabilities in mobility.
Who we are looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or related field
- More than 5 years professional experience in global mobility, international assignments, and cross-border employment, in a multinational environment.
- Proven leadership experience managing programs, vendors, and teams across regions.
- Deep knowledge of international tax, immigration, social security, labor law related to international assignments and employment risk concepts.
- Strong financial acumen, including assignment costing, budgeting, and cost governance.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and operate effectively in a complex, matrixed organization.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Fluent in German and English with a strong knowledge of German and international laws essential.
- Position is limited to 18 months.
