What we expect
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to oversee all new installation and modernization operations within our elevator division. This role is responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, profitably, and in alignment with annual budgetary goals. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong management skills to drive operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Who we are looking for
Lead and supervise superintendents and employees, including hiring, training, performance management, and discipline.
Administer and enforce the company’s safety program, conducting weekly audits and promoting a culture of safety.
Plan, prioritize, and direct elevator installation and modernization projects, managing manpower and schedules with project management tools.
Monitor financial performance using accounting reports, identifying risks and opportunities, and ensuring accurate revenue reporting.
Oversee jobsites from survey to completion, troubleshoot issues, perform quality audits, and meet with customers to review progress.
Manage subcontractor schedules and performance on turn-key projects.
Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, consultants, construction firms, and architects.
Review and approve bids, attend pre-bid meetings, and provide technical input for labor and material cost calculations.
Approve change orders, purchase orders, turnover authorizations, accounts receivable, credits, and other financial documents.
Stay current with federal, state, and local elevator industry codes and regulations.
Maintain familiarity with company SOPs, products, and updates through training and collaboration with corporate departments.
Resolve internal and external customer complaints, including union-related issues.
Coordinate material orders and subcontracting for installations.
Conduct weekly crew visits and day-one site checks to ensure safety and progress.
Bachelor’s degree preferred (may be substituted with extensive industry and management experience).
Minimum of two years managing at a branch departmental level, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicles Report.
In-depth knowledge of the elevator industry and management practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to interpret technical instructions and manage complex variables.
