The Business Unit Europe Africa is one of the largest of TK Elevator’s Business Units. Its Regional Business Support Center is in Dusseldorf, Germany, from where it coordinates activities in 20+ countries, as well a distributor network in Africa. This unit handles the sale, installation, servicing and modernization of elevators, escalators and moving walks. In select markets, the portfolio also includes home lifts and the service of automatic doors.TK Elevator achieved worldwide sales of €9.2 billion in fiscal year 2024/2025. What we expect
As a Technical Trainer in Electrical Systems & Services, you will play a key role in developing the technical capabilities of our international workforce. Your responsibilities include:
Training Expertise & Delivery
- Serve as the primary expert and point of contact for the electrical systems and services training portfolio.
- Deliver advanced-level technical training on electrical systems, service procedures, troubleshooting and elevator maintenance to international participants.
- Facilitate learning using modern, engaging teaching methodologies that adapt to different skill levels and learning styles.
- Ensure a motivating, hands-on training environment aligned with our high safety standards.
Training Design & Development
- Design and develop comprehensive training concepts, curricula and materials in cooperation with Subject Matter Experts.
- Integrate digital tools, simulations and e-learning formats to enhance accessibility and knowledge retention.
- Continuously update and optimize training courses, equipment and documentation to reflect the latest technologies, service processes and safety regulations.
Support & Collaboration
- Coach and support part-time trainers involved in electrical systems and services training to maintain consistent quality across regions
- Collaborate closely with business and field teams to understand operational needs and propose training solutions that improve daily service performance.
- Maintain an uncompromising focus on health and safety in all training content and on-site training environments.
Who we are looking for
Professional Background
- Strong technical qualifications gained through education and hands-on experience in roles such as technical support, troubleshooting, field service, commissioning or maintenance.
- Deep knowledge of TKE electrical systems, elevator technology and service processes.
Training & Communication Skills
- Empathy, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to create a positive, supportive atmosphere for learning.
- Excellent didactical skills and customer-oriented mindset to ensure effective knowledge transfer.
- Confident, collaborative team player capable of managing group dynamics and resolving conflicts when needed.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and proactively.
Languages & Availability
- Fluency in English and German is required; additional European languages (e.g., Spanish) are an advantage.
- Availability for international business travel.
