Position Summary :

With the help of a colleague, the Accounts Receivable Accountant will be responsible for effectively managing the company's accounts receivable process, monitoring and collecting outstanding customer balances, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, a thorough understanding of accounts receivable practices, and the ability to work with other departments to ensure effective accounts receivable management.

Key Responsibilities :

Customer account management:

• Track and manage customer accounts and ensure payments are received within the agreed payment terms.
• Handle customer inquiries regarding invoices and account statements.

Account reconciliation:

• Reconcile bank statements with accounts receivable to ensure that all payments are properly allocated and accounts receivable are properly cleared.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies or errors in accounts receivable.

Domiciliation:

• Collaborate with sales/operations (and external advisors) to resolve outstanding payment issues.
• Implement collection strategies to collect outstanding balances.

Financial information:

• Prepare monthly financial reports on accounts receivable, including outstanding balances and cash flow forecasts.

• Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Previous experience in the field of accounts receivable.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles.
• Proficiency in accounting software, spreadsheets and computer tools.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• First experience with SAP
• Great attention to detail and ability to handle a large number of transactions.
• Good command of Dutch and French. Knowledge of English is considered an asset.
