Who we are

Responsible for the management of the SAP Basis of the Spanish business unit including technical components, hosting and operations. Managing the SAP-BASIS and hosting vendors.

Manager level, position without grade, no direct staff responsibility, matrix structured work environment, travel required.

What we expect

  • Responsible for the safe operation of the system
  • Definition of System Operations concept, operations procedures and documentation in system operation manuals in alignment with shared service / outsourcing provider
  • Responsible for KPI compliance with the systems and intervenes early in the event of non-compliance ( compliance report )
  • Responsible of the system maintenance concepts for updating the system components
  • Responsible for the safe execution of maintenance work and transition to regulated operation
  • Responsible for system security ( compliance, SOS report, pen tests )
  • Analysis, classification and correction of system malfunctions
  • Responsibility for monitoring and operating processes to ensure systemic availability ( monitoring concept, EWA Analysis, SOS Report analysis, … )
  • Control and Coordination of internal and external Service Providers in connection with support, operation and implementation activities included specification, planning, testing and quality management, training and key user support
  • Driving escalation process for incident tickets and business urgent requirement with strong communication in direction to the service owner
  • Coordination and participation in the introduction of new solutions in the SAP environment
  • Management of work packages for the development of the future IT landscape
  • Leading technical projects in the implementation of transformation projects
  • Analysis and Design of requirements with regards to SAP Basis and SAP Solution Manager
  • Support the application requirements from OU business and take collaboration with Service Provider for implementation.
  • Processing of user requirements and creation/evaluation of solution concepts
  • Support the requirements from audits regarding technical related activities
  • Analysis of current innovations in SAP Basis and Solution Manager with respect to applicability and feasibility
  • Creation of application roadmaps for specific functional area (Basis and Solution Manager) in coordination with Solution Architect, Global AMS and other stakeholders
  • Strong cooperation with the specialist departments in business and the international IT departments
  • Support QA Manager in and code reviews for performance analysis
  • Support Solution Architect and AMs in defining ERP Strategy for specific functional area based on experience in projects
  • Participation during rollouts ( Post Go Live preparation and support )

Who we are looking for

Academic background

  • Degree in computer science or equal business experiences.

Experience

  • At least 4 years work experience in SAP Basis and System Operations
  • High performing individual with sound understanding of SAP Basis with regards to architecture and operations
  • In depth knowledge of SAP Basis / NetWeaver esp. system operations and administration, transport management, ABAP development etc.
  • Experience in definition of technical system architecture and sizing
  • .
  • S/4 Hana experience. Either administrating or working in migration projects.
  • Sound understanding of IT basics such as networks (LAN/WAN), client – server architecture etc.
  • Familiarity with the principles of project management in the IT field and preferably first experience as project or sub-project manager
  • Experience and sensitivity for international work environments

Proven ability as a member of a team communicating technical and production-related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff

  • You are experienced in managing stakeholders in a multi-cultural global environment, previously worked in matrix function is beneficial

Personal skills

  • Strong presentation skills and confidence in dealing with executives
  • A proactive, flexible and independent working style, requiring limited guidance and with the ability to perform tasks to a high degree of accuracy You have a dynamic personality and you are confident in ambiguous situations
  • You are a team player with a collaborative and pragmatic style, strong analytical and strategic skills

Languages

Fluency in English (written and spoken; upper-intermediate)
