What we expect

As a Digital Marketing Manager, you will be integral to our online marketing and content management efforts. You will take ownership of a variety of tasks that are critical to our digital strategy, including:

Website Management & CMS Expertise:

  • Oversee the creation, updating, and optimization of web pages using WordPress and other CMS platforms (FirstSpitit/Crownpeak CMS).
  • Manage the content lifecycle, including editing, proofreading, and publishing content to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Implement SEO best practices in all content to improve organic search performance and visibility.

Monitoring & Reporting:

  • Track and report on website performance, online usage behavior, and campaign effectiveness using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other relevant platforms.
  • Develop strategic recommendations based on data analysis to enhance our digital presence.

Agency Coordination:

  • Manage and brief external agencies for international projects, ensuring that deliverables align with our brand standards and marketing objectives.

Content Management:

  • Oversee content creation and curation for our social media and email marketing channels.
  • Develop and execute content strategies that support cross-media marketing initiatives in collaboration with marketing managers.

Technical Optimization:

  • Ensure the technical functionality of websites, including regular updates, plugin management, and troubleshooting to maintain optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with developers and designers to enhance website features and user experience.

Strategic Execution:

  • Execute all digital marketing measures in line with the corporate strategy and ensure consistency across all online platforms.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a candidate who is not only skilled in digital marketing but also brings a strong command of content management systems, especially WordPress. The ideal candidate will have:

Education:

  • A completed degree in Marketing and Communications, Web Development, Business Administration, or a similar field.

Experience:

  • Several years of professional experience in a digital marketing role with a strong focus on CMS management, particularly WordPress.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in WordPress, including page creation, content editing, and basic HTML/CSS skills.
  • Familiarity with SEO tools and practices, such as keyword research, on-page optimization, and performance tracking.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).

Language Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written skills in English and German. Additional language skills in French, Spanish, Italian, or Dutch are an advantage.

Skills & Traits:

  • A creative and detail-oriented thinker with a passion for improving user experience and website functionality.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to tasks.
  • A commercial and strategic mindset with excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • Experience working with multinational teams and managing external agencies.
  • A proactive attitude with strong self-motivation and a sense of urgency.
