What we expect
TK Airport Solutions is currently seeking an experienced Director of Human Resources in Fort Worth, TX. Responsible for providing HR expertise in the areas of recruitment, talent management, performance management, organizational development, employee training, labor law compliance, and employee relations. This is an on-site position.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: • Contribute to the business strategy by helping business leaders to identify, prioritize, and build organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures, and processes • Be a change advocate to influence the design and delivery of HR programs and initiatives per corporate guidelines • Oversee day-to-day HR operational activities such as policy administration, FMLA, employee data maintenance, and reporting requirements (changed the order slightly) • Provide proactive guidance to business leaders on employee relations issues in close coordination with in-house counsel • Work closely with leadership to develop strategic HR initiatives and programs aimed at increasing retention and company morale • Assist leadership to develop and implement labor relations strategies that are consistent with company initiatives, union agreements, compliance with all legal requirements and promote positive employee relations
Who we are looking for
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: • Bachelor’s Degree in HR or related field of study • MBA or MS in HR or related field a plus, but not required • SHRM/PHR/SPHR certification strongly desired • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience managing human resources for organizations greater than 500 employees • Minimum of 5 years of team management experience • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a unionized environment (preferably manufacturing) • Strong HR generalist background with core competencies in the areas of recruiting, compensation and benefits, human capital management, employee relations, organizational change, labor relations, employee development, and performance management • Must be able to work in a matrix environment to influence and drive HR best practices across operations and varying organizational levels • Deep working knowledge of Worker’s Compensation, FMLA, ADA, ADEA, EEOC, DOL, and all other labor and employment regulatory requirements • Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred
