Project Manager- New Installation/Modernization (Los Angeles)

What we expect
This position is responsible for coordinating all aspects of project setup, execution, and customer engagement, while supporting sales initiatives and maintaining strong technical and operational oversight.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Set up new modernization and new installation jobs, including job books, change orders, purchase orders, and submittals for owners and consultants.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date job files, including correspondence, job status, and action plans; close files upon final acceptance.
- Monitor project progress through regular communication with customers, sales teams, and field superintendents.
- Coordinate with city/state agencies for inspections, permits, plan checks, DSA, and OSHPD approvals; prioritize OSHPD jobs as needed.
- Prepare acceptances and process turnovers; ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Assist branches and sales reps in preparing bids, estimates, sourcing, and contract execution for major projects.
- Participate in strategy development and negotiation to drive project acquisition and sales growth.
- Lead pre-selling activities including Lunch & Learns, presentations to general contractors, and relationship building with developers, consultants, architects, and building managers.
- Develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders, including general contractors, architects, consultants, and building owners.
- Provide regular updates on project schedules and scope-related issues to ensure alignment and customer satisfaction.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all customer communications related to approvals, fabrication, and delivery.
- Create traffic analysis simulations and deliver associated presentations and reports.
- Provide design and engineering support by generating technical drawings and reviewing specifications to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with Engineering for custom applications and adjustments to project designs as needed.
- Maintain expert knowledge of company products, local code requirements, and industry trends through training and documentation review.
Who we are looking for
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in elevator/construction industry.
- Thorough knowledge of elevator equipment and the construction industry; knowledge of installation procedures.
- Ability to define problems collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form, and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

- Proven experience in both New Installation and Modernization project management
- Strong knowledge of elevator systems, project coordination, and construction requirements
- Ability to read technical drawings and specifications; experience with design software preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal code requirements across multiple U.S. regions
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
What we offer
Salary range: $90,000 to $140,000. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type and years of experience within the industry, education, office location, etc.

Employees also will be able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan. Relocation assistance offered for candidates relocating more than 50 miles for this position.
Employees will receive 15 days of vacation leave per year. Employees will enjoy 11 paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Up to six weeks of paid parental leave will be available for use after successful completion of 90-days of full-time employment. Eligibility requirements for these benefits will be controlled by applicable plan documents.
