What we expect
Ready to ensure the digital transformation of vertical transportation is built on rock-solid quality? Join us as a Test Automation Developer (d/f/m), where you'll safeguard the reliability of smart building technology that impacts millions of daily passenger journeys worldwide. We're seeking a skilled test automation professional who thrives on finding problems before users do: someone who gets energized by building robust frameworks, preventing defects, and ensuring our digital solutions work flawlessly. If you're passionate about quality automation and want to shape the future of smart buildings through excellence in testing, this is your opportunity.
As a Test Automation Developer (d/f/m) in our Digital Service Applications team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks that ensure the quality and reliability of our digital services and applications—from IoT-based analytics solutions to customer-facing platforms used by thousands daily.
Your tasks:
- Design and Build Test Automation Frameworks: Create robust, scalable, and maintainable test automation frameworks that serve multiple product teams and accelerate delivery cycles.
- Develop Comprehensive Test Coverage: Build automated test scripts for functional, regression, performance, and integration testing across web applications, APIs, and microservices.
- Integrate Quality into CI/CD: Embed automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps, ensuring quality gates are met before deployment.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with developers, product owners, QA engineers, and other test automation teams (DEC, architecture teams) to understand application features, share best practices, and ensure consistent quality standards.
- Analyze and Improve: Monitor test results, identify patterns and issues, work with developers to resolve defects, and continuously improve test coverage and quality metrics.
- Champion Best Practices: Document test processes, standards, and best practices, and mentor team members on test automation approaches and tools.
- Stay Current with Technology: Keep up with emerging testing tools, frameworks, and methodologies, bringing innovative approaches to improve our testing efficiency and effectiveness.
Who we are looking for
- Test Automation Expertise: 3+ years of hands-on experience in test automation development using modern frameworks (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or Appium). Proven track record implementing automated testing in CI/CD pipelines and demonstrable experience with API testing tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar.
- Technical Foundation & Programming Skills: Strong proficiency in programming languages such as C# and JavaScript/TypeScript. Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, test design patterns, and QA processes. Experience testing modern frameworks (Angular, .NET, MAUI) and architectural patterns including microservices, event-driven architectures, and API-first design.
- Cloud & DevOps Proficiency: Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure, and understanding of DevOps practices and tools (Git, Docker, CI/CD pipelines). Familiarity with testing RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and asynchronous messaging systems (Kafka, MQTT). Experience with monitoring and observability tools like Grafana and OpenTelemetry is a plus.
- Agile & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven experience working in agile, cross-functional product teams with ability to collaborate effectively with developers, product owners, and other test automation teams. Comfortable working across time zones in a global setup.
- Security & Quality Awareness: Understanding of secure software design principles, authentication/authorization mechanisms (OAuth2, OpenID Connect), and data protection requirements in testing contexts.
- Educational Foundation: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Personal Attributes
- Problem-solver with passion: Strong analytical skills with genuine enjoyment in finding weak spots and edge cases in products
- Pragmatic & hands-on: Strongly driven, get-things-done attitude—ready to roll up your sleeves and go the extra mile to ensure product success
- Team player & self-starter: Collaborative team member who can also work independently and take ownership
- Clear communicator: Good communication skills in English, able to explain technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences
