TK Elevator is currently seeking an experienced Electrical Technician II located in Atlanta, GA.
Work with engineers and senior technicians/specialists to assist in developing test equipment for elevator components, assemblies, and systems and with installing elevator subsystems, components, and mockups. The position focuses on supporting the testing and qualification of electrical parts and systems. Responsibilities include installation/wiring work, supporting test execution, component fabrication, and assembly of test fixtures.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Assist Technician III/IV and specialists with the installation, removal, service, repair, and modifications of elevator systems
- Assisting in the modification of the building’s electrical supply systems
- Produce test fixtures
- Assist engineers with performing test plans
- Clean elevator car tops, machine rooms, pits, hoistways, and test tower floors
- Reads requirements and specifications to fully understand the systems required for the components being used.
- Works with others to create SOPs and create/implement safety protocols
- Adherence to all company safety procedures and standards
- Perform special projects and other duties as assigned with supervision
- Successful Completion of elevator and safety training
- Willingness to learn mechanical aspects of technician work outside of electrical duties. These may include, but are not limited to, installation of mechanical elevator equipment such as motors and belts.
Who we are looking for
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- OSHA 10
- 2-4 years of equivalent work experience
- 1-2 years of elevator experience
- Two years of college, technical institute courses, or equivalent work experience, preferred
- Forklift and scissor lift certification, preferred
- Comprehension of general electrical engineering concepts required.
- Familiar with National Electrical Code
- Possess effective verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated experience with the use of computer-assisted engineering tools and general knowledge of test equipment.
- Demonstrated experience in reading and comprehension of circuit diagrams/PCB Layouts
- Possess the ability to closely follow instructions and pre-established procedures/SOP to perform the functions of the job.
- Ability to operate various hand and power tools
- Must possess good customer service skills
- Maintain a Clean Environment
- Adherence to corporate compliance policy, including performing all duties in a professional and responsible manner
- Completion of work in a timely and efficient manner
