TK Elevator is seeking a motivated Jr. Technical Writer- Summer 2026 Internship in Atlanta, GA.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Communicate and collaborate with team members and project staff to plan, develop, and produce high-quality product documentation in a fast-paced environment.
- Work closely with cross-functional team members including “subject matter experts”, engineers, technicians, trainers, release managers, product managers, and co-writers to develop technical content.
- Create, edit, and maintain a variety of technical user documentation for current and future applications, including technical bulletins, product and service manuals, installation procedures, reports, and troubleshooting charts for use in external or internal company publications.
- Excellent technical writing skills for a non-technical and technical audience with the ability to write clearly as well as concisely with a great editorial eye ensuring accuracy and completeness of technical documentation.
- Excellent English skills and expertise in proofreading/editing, writing, and verbal communication.
- Ability to quickly understand complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text, create and select photographs, drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts to illustrate material and online simulation.
- Ability to multi-task to ensure project deadlines are met to ensure accountability for all deliverables.
- Develop and maintain templates for written documentation ensuring all documentation meets and exceeds company standards.
- Upload and maintain technical documentation portfolio in SharePoint
- Perform other related duties incidental to the work previously described.
Who we are looking for
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Education - Bachelor’s Degree required. Software or hardware engineering knowledge or certification considered a plus. At least 4 years of relevant Technical Documentation experience required. In lieu of a college degree, 5-7 years of relevant experience required.
- Understanding of Technical Writing Basics.
- Must have experience with Adobe Acrobat/Editor. Experience with FrameMaker and PhotoShop considered as plus.
- Must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Experience with Publisher and SharePoint considered a plus.
