TK Airport Solutions is currently seeking an experienced Managing Director located in Ft. Worth, TX.

The Managing Director will oversee the company’s U.S. operations, with primary responsibility for managing the Texas-based manufacturing plant and all associated services, including equipment production, modernizations, and aftermarket services. This role requires a dynamic leader with deep knowledge of manufacturing, service operations, and client relationship management within the aviation infrastructure industry. The Managing Director will focus on expanding the company’s market share in the U.S. The role requires a leader with deep expertise in business management and manufacturing, capable of achieving high performance while aligning the U.S. division’s objectives with the overall global strategy.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Lead the U.S. operations, ensuring alignment with the global corporate strategy and financial objectives.
  • Develop and execute business plans to enhance market presence, increase revenue, and expand market share within the United States.
  • Collaborate with the global leadership team to integrate global supply chain strategies, manage cross-border initiatives, and ensure seamless operations between the U.S. and other legal entities from the BU.

Manufacturing Operations & Installation Leadership

  • Lead the Texas-based manufacturing facility with a focus on safety, quality, and cost efficiency
  • Align production output with project execution timelines
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (FAA Buy American, OSHA, EPA, ISO 9001)
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring projects are executed according to quality, safety, and efficiency standards.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. regulatory standards (e.g., FAA Buy American, OSHA, EP
  • Implement continuous improvement programs to drive operational efficiency, reduce waste, and improve throughput.

Growth of Services & Aftermarket

  • Build and scale a high-performing Services business
  • Drive expansion of Spare Parts as a strategic, high-margin revenue stream
  • Enhance forecasting, pricing strategy, and customer responsiveness

Financial & Governance Leadership:

  • Manage the P&L, setting and achieving financial targets, including revenue, profitability, and cost management goals.
  • Lead budgeting and financial planning processes in collaboration with the CFO and finance teams.
  • Analyze performance metrics, identify improvement areas, and implement corrective actions to ensure long-term sustainability

Team Leadership & Talent Development:

  • Build and lead a high-performing U.S. leadership team, driving accountability, performance excellence, and a results-oriented culture.
  • Focus on talent development, succession planning, and employee engagement strategies to attract and retain top talent.

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with key U.S.-based customers, suppliers, and partners to ensure high levels of satisfaction and business continuity.
  • Work closely with government bodies, industry associations, and regulatory agencies to enhance the company’s standing in the U.S. market.
  • Represent the company at industry forums, trade events and negotiations with major stakeholders

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Advanced degree (MBA, master’s in engineering, or a related field) is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of [15–20] years of experience in senior leadership roles within project management or manufacturing, with at least 8 years leading operations in the U.S. or North American markets.
  • Experience in the aviation infrastructure industry is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale business operations, including overseeing facilities, with full P&L responsibility.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is highly desirable.
  • Strong command of project management and operational improvement strategies.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP,) and data analytics tools to support decision-making will be valuable but not essential
  • Familiarity with U.S. regulatory environments related to aviation, manufacturing, and safety standards.
  • Proven leadership and communication skills, capable of inspiring teams and influencing key stakeholders across functions and geographies.
  • Strategic mindset with strong execution focus

  • Experienced in working within a multinational context, with an ability to manage cross-cultural teams and international supply chains.
  • High quality decision-making under pressure.
