TK Elevator is currently seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety Specialist in Middleton, TN.
Responsible for setting strategic direction and delivering effective, efficient services that embed
health, safety, environment, security and corporate responsibility insustainable business practices.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Governance- Delivers and deploys OHS training, audit and TKE-wide performance
improvement programs to the Manufacturing Center (MC) and assigned area of
responsibility. - Metrics- Provides analysis of OHS data within area of responsibility. Reports
progress on implementation of HSE/ Sustainability objectives and key performance
indicators (KPIs) as required. - Regulatory compliance- Contributes to assessing emerging OHS trends and
legislation and communicates relevant information on legal requirements within
area of expertise and geography. - Risk management Delivers audit (as per TKE Audit Program) and support follow up
of improvement actions in the Local Business Units. - Operational support- Contributes to driving behavioral change and continuous
improvement though delivery of training and competence initiatives and expert
support to the MC in line with yearly HSE Plan agreed with the Business Units.
Supports the sharing of best practice. Coordinates reporting on OHS performance
and support delivery of TKE audit program. - Communication and engagement- Cooperates across functions and with business
partners to raise awareness of OHS standards and initiatives and drive
performance, engages with internal and external stakeholders to build commitment
and credibility. - Project management- Contributes to and/or plans and executes Occupational
Health and Safety performance and related projects. Develops, leads and reports
on continuous improvement projects in area of responsibility. Manages project
resources such as manpower, financials and other relevant factors.
Who we are looking for
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor of Science or a related discipline
- Min 2 years demonstrated HSE experience in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations
- Familiar with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 management systems
- A strong bias for action
- Ability to coach and influence manufacturing teams as well as contract
partners - Flexible to work across 3 shifts and overtime as needed
- Ability to prioritize work, effectively handle multiple tasks, and possess
sound reasoning and problem-solving skills - Excellent communication skills (verbal/written)
- Strong computer and presentation skills
- GSP/ASP or equivalent, preferred
- Other accredited OHS related certifications, preferred
- OSHA certifications, preferred
