Junior GL Accountant

• Post GL transactions, uploads journal entry files calculated by other internal teams.
• Manage fixed asset transactions including depreciation run. Create investment orders. Reconcile asset accounts.
• Support timely month-end and year-end closing processes, as per month-end-closing calendar.
• Prepare Tax calculations, VAT related reports and declarations, VAT reconciliation.
• Execute internal control procedures, ensures that all Internal Risk Control guidelines are followed, bank reconciliation twice per month.
• Guide AP and AR and PSM team members by coordinating accounting activities and answering questions.
• Complete all activities in a timely manner and in accordance with SLA.
• Escalate all issues and deviations from standard process to management.
• Intrastat data service,
• Creates, maintains and reviews, GL and Asset Accounting related SOP’s.
• Support the Month And Closing Taskings,
• Balance sheet reconciliation

Open to understand and respect different cultures from the Eastern Europe countries (Hungary, Croatia, Romania, Czech, Poland);

Fluency in English and in Hungarian is a must and other Eastern European language skill is an advantage

Knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles

Accuracy and attention to detail

Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills

Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience is an advantage
