TK Elevator is currently seeking an experienced Engineer IV, Configuration in Atlanta, GA.

This role will provide expert judgment in Configuration Engineering from concept to market, defining product\feature offering rules for bringing products to market based on the product development roadmap.  This position is responsible for delivering sales configuration rules, validation of these rules, and support for the development of product configuration logic. This team member will be required to focus on highly complex technical issues and to conduct advanced research to assist in activities of the product development life cycle. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Performs development\delivery\validation\maintenance of sales configuration rules, including building\model\unit configuration and AHJ required configurations.
• Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals with a wide degree of latitude.
• Generates parameter flow and logic per outlined requirements and specifications.
• Collaborates with the other product configuration groups including sales configurator modeling group, sales configurator application development group, design automation group, and configuration\pricing management group.
• Contributes to an effective working relationship of configuration engineers with PDC design engineers, to deliver product offering in accordance with product design.
• Researches the viability of new configuration tools\processes for new and existing products.
• Assists as needed the PM and PLM groups to communicate product priorities across the company by collaborating with various functions and building consensus among them.
• Contributes to and promotes department standards and processes which promote quality\delivery and includes proper documentation and control.
• Maximizes efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm.
• Support and promote all TK Elevators’ safety programs.
• Contributes in a team environment.
• Mentor and train Engineers I, II & III.
• Viewed as a top-level contributor/specialist able to lead and direct the work of others.
• Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering or Computer Science required.
• Master’s degree or equivalent professional experience required.
• 6+ years’ experience in a technical configuration, product development, or project management position.
• Must demonstrate a strong aptitude for basic consumer electronics, mechanical devices and elevator systems.
• Must be able to communicate the department and product vision.
• Exemplary judgment regarding product usability, customer expectations, and creative product tradeoffs.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills to present data and product recommendations to product engineering and marketing/sales management.
• Excellent proficiency using MS Office skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Project or comparable Project Management Software).
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to travel sporadically for trade show and other customer/consumer related activities.
• Demonstrated experience with hands on technical wiring and assembly of mechanical equipment a plus.
• Demonstrated experience with the use of computer-assisted engineering tools and general knowledge of test equipment.

The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type and years of experience within the industry, education, office location, etc.

Up to six weeks of paid parental leave will be available for use after successful completion of 90-days of full-time employment.
