What we expect
We are looking for an experienced Key Account Manager to join our nationwide Key Accounts department, reporting to the Head of Key Accounts. In this role you will be responsible managing some of the organisations largest and/or strategically important customer contracts, maximizing sales and growth opportunities, ensuring customer satisfaction and minimizing outstanding debt.
This is a remote role with regular travel to visit clients.
As a Key Account Manager, your day-to-day will include:
- Act as a dedicated point of contact for National Account clients, face to face and via email and telephone, and participate in meetings on a national level.
- Serve as the customer’s voice internally, ensuring their requirements are understood and prioritised. Develop internal relationships to ensure clients’ SLAs and KPIs are consistently met, balancing these with the wider commercial and operational priorities.
- Develop a thorough understanding of contract terms, scope, and obligations, ensuring these are implemented effectively in day-to-day operations to meet compliance, service, and commercial objectives.
- Oversee KPI management to ensure operational delivery consistently meets and exceeds agreed target SLAs, driving continuous improvement and service excellence.
- Asset lifecycle management to advise future customer needs and provide sales colleagues with future lead opportunities.
- Engage in the sales order process, chase up quotations, and convert them into orders.
- Assist with debt management and billing activities for the customer account, supporting timely invoicing and payment collection.
- Manage contract profitability by monitoring financial performance, identifying and pursuing chargeable opportunities outside of standard contract scope, and ensuring these are captured, costed, and invoiced effectively.
- Provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, schedules, business trends, financial reports, and other business metrics.
- Provide strategic oversight of the account to maximise sales revenue and profitability, driving long-term growth, client retention, and sustainable business success.
- Promote TKE as an organisation and collaborate with other areas of the business.
- Produce customer reports and attend client meetings at regular intervals.
