What we expect

We are looking for a passionate Purchase Administrator to join our head office Procurement team, who will report to our Indirect Buyer. This role will primarily be responsible for supporting the procurement team to drive out cost and ensuring Purchase Orders are raised and approved in a timely manner.
Negotiating with suppliers to ensure the purchase of goods, materials, components, and services are done in a way that meets the operational needs of the business, paying particular attention to price, risk, quality and delivery and TK Elevators procurement practices and governance.

 

As an Purchase Administrator, your day to day will include:

  • Work closely with Finance to ensure invoices are paid on time and any invoice issues are resolved.
  • Facilitate requisitions and where required raise Purchase Orders on behalf of the business in line with the Procurement policy and procedures.
  • Ensure consistent Purchase Order processes are always undertaken and adhered to.
  • Communicate with internal customers to ensure they are kept appraised of the status of their requests.
  • Analyse suppliers spend data regularly to identify cost saving opportunities and efficiencies that contribute to the savings plan.
  • Undertake quotations and tenders on behalf of TK Elevator and manage them in line with Procurement Policy and procedures.
  • Support the Head of Procurement to manage the TK Elevator supply chain to ensure adequate supply and stock keeping.
  • Build and maintain supplier relationships
  • Undertake the necessary due diligence on prospective vendors and manage the on-boarding process ensuring adherence to Procurement Policies and Procedures
  • To maintain the Buying Support mailbox, ensuring all procurement related queries are dealt with in a timely manner

  • Previous admin experience in a purchasing role
  • A good understanding of procurement practices and processes
  • Good attention to detail, analytical and able to follow procedures
  • Strong skills using MS Office, databases, and eProcurement systems
  • Consistently works to deadlines
  • Strong organisational and people skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Highly motivated, reliable and hardworking
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
