TK Elevator is currently seeking an experienced Quality Engineer in our manufacturing facility in Byhalia, MS.

This role provides systemic and analytical support to improve the quality performance of TKE products.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCITONS: 

• Develop, apply and maintain quality requirements and standards.
• Develop and visually analyze test procedures through handling and operating test equipment.
• Work with the Purchasing Department and Supplier Quality Engineer on qualifications of new suppliers and supplier quality improvement.
• Plan and conduct tests and experiments to improve products and processes.
• Provide statistical analysis on the performance of new and existing designs and processes.
• Perform root cause analysis on field and factory failures.
• Monitor failure trends on in-house and field failures which involve working in plant and at field job sites.
• Work with suppliers in solving problems.
• Work with plant engineering personnel to develop process control procedures.
• Support the APQP process.
• Audit supplier products, manufacturing processes, and quality systems and recommend improvements.
• Support external audits conducted by various certifying bodies ISO, ETL, UL etc.
• Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Associates Degree in Applied Science or relevant field with equivalent experience is required.
• 3+ years of quality engineering experience is required.
• Must possess excellent customer service skills.
• Must possess strong decision making abilities
• Must work well with others with cross functional team members at all levels.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written to all levels within the company.
• Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Must be able to closely follow instructions and pre-established procedures/SOP to perform the functions of the job.
• Must understand data analysis applications.
