What we expect
Role Overview
We are seeking a Reliability and Quality Architect to lead our quality strategy for APIs, data, and digital applications across the Architecture & Technology organization.
This role ensures our platforms and products meet the highest standards of reliability, performance, and testability — from cloud-based APIs to data pipelines and end-user applications. The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills with a passion for automation, quality, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive the automation and quality strategy for APIs, web, and mobile applications consuming cloud data
- Establish and enforce testability and quality standards across applications, APIs, and data workflows
- Implement and optimize API testing, mocking, and contract validation to ensure robust integrations
- Ensure data quality validation and testing across analytics and ETL pipelines (e.g., Databricks workflows)
- Lead performance, scalability, and reliability testing for APIs and applications
- Collaborate with security teams to integrate security and compliance testing into delivery workflows
- Promote standardization of QA tools, frameworks, and pipelines across teams
- Foster a quality-first culture by promoting testability, TDD/BDD practices, and continuous improvement
Who we are looking for
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in quality engineering, test automation, or reliability architecture
- Strong knowledge of API and application testing using tools like Postman, Playwright, pytest, or similar
- Familiarity with data validation, ETL testing, and analytics platforms (e.g., Databricks, SQL)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps, SonarQube, or similar
- Understanding of modern development practices such as TDD, BDD, and contract-driven testing
- Strong team player – collaborates effectively across global, cross-functional teams, building trust and alignment
- Ownership and getting-things-done mindset – takes initiative, ensures quality outcomes, and delivers results reliably in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for improving software quality through automation and innovation
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
