TK Elevator is currently seeking an experienced Sr. Director- Continuous Improvement located in Atlanta, GA.
The Sr Director - Continuous Improvement for the North American operating unit will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within our organization. The candidate will be a key leader in our organization's continuous improvement efforts, responsible for driving significant process improvements and delivering measurable business results. You will lead complex projects aimed at reducing defects, improving quality, and optimizing operational performance across various departments and functions. Through rigorous data analysis, strategic problem-solving, and effective project management, you will play a critical role in achieving operational excellence and enhancing overall business efficiency.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Strategy Development & Execution
- Partner with key leaders to co-create and execute a comprehensive continuous improvement strategy aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure improvements in operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Process Optimization
- Conduct thorough process assessments and identify areas for improvement.
- Lead process mapping sessions to visualize current workflows and streamline processes for maximum efficiency.
- Implement lean methodologies and other best practices to eliminate waste and reduce cycle times.
- Data Driven Analysis
- Utilize data analysis tools and techniques to gather, interpret, and analyze operational performance data.
- Identify trends, patterns, and root causes of inefficiencies or quality issues.
- Develop actionable insights and recommendations based on data-driven findings.
- Change Management:
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence throughout the organization.
- Lead change management initiatives to ensure successful implementation of process improvements.
- Provide coaching and training to team members on continuous improvement methodologies and tools
- Project Management:
- Plan, execute, and oversee continuous improvement projects from initiation through to completion.
- Monitor project progress, track key milestones, and manage resources effectively.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure project outcomes meet quality, timeline, and budgetary expectations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions.
- Foster strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels to drive consensus and alignment on improvement initiatives.
Who we are looking for
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- 4-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent required, business, engineering, or science disciplines preferred
- 10-15 years of proven experience in a continuous improvement role, with a track record of implementing successful process improvements.
- Strong knowledge of Lean methodologies, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement frameworks.
- Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and process mapping tools.
- Exceptional project management abilities with a demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Change management expertise with the ability to drive cultural transformation towards continuous improvement.
- Certifications such as Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt are highly desirable.
