TK Elevator is currently seeking an experienced Contract Analyst Supervisor- Service & Repair
This role will have direct reports and is responsible for supporting management in the day-to-day operations of the department protecting TKE interests in the areas of liability, payment terms, lien rights, and other objectionable language as well as ensuring that department SLA’s and KPI’s goals are met.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Timely and effective problem resolution on escalated issues by training and empowering contract analyst.
- Provide guidance and alternative contract language to Contract Analyst’s as well as branch personnel on complex legal matters that may negatively impact company operations.
- Oversee implementation of system and process improvements.
- Train and oversee department for continued monthly auditing of Quality and SOP standards
- Work to develop and manage team performance to the expectations of the Department
- Manage and track attendance, work with Team Lead on coverage or backfilling:
- Perform review of customer contracts, terms, and general conditions for legal interpretation as needed.
- Prepare amendments/redlines incorporating business/judgment decisions into language satisfactory to protect TKE interests as needed.
- Work to de-escalate branch and customer service issues that staff and team Lead are unable to resolve with urgency.
- Higher knowledge of contract terms, bond, certificates of insurance, OCIP/CCIP processes to assist contract analyst.
- Work to de-escalate branch and customer service issues that Contract Analyst are unable to resolve with urgency.
- Work collaboratively cross departments to continuously improve processes for efficiency, scalability, and customer experience
- Performs other various job duties as may be assigned.
Who we are looking for
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent with training in accounting and business and/or contract law
- 1+ year of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- 1+ year of department specific experience related to Service & Repair contract review.
- 5+ years work experience in contract analysis.
- 3+ years of leadership/employee mentorship experience
- Possesses basic understanding of key construction arena contract clauses (liquidated damages, consequential damages, insurance coverage, indemnification, pay when/if paid, etc.)
- Ability to simplify and clearly explain such clauses to subordinate employees both verbally and in writing and train them to negotiate such clauses effectively and to local management as needed
- Possesses creativity necessary to develop training programs for subordinate employees and standard operating procedures for those employees
- Ability to handle own high-level negotiations with TKE’s customers on an as needed basis
- Ability to manage within a group in furtherance of achieving corporate contract policy on all negotiated agreements
- Ability to create environment where subordinate employees are encouraged to share best practices with each other to promote productivity
