TK Elevator is currently seeking an experienced Product Sustainability Lead in Atlanta, GA.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Manage Scope 3 downstream carbon (C) emissions declarations & certs. Conduct life cycle (LC) analysis & publish EPDs for all main product lines, moving to digital platform as requested by cust.
- Integrate w/ product strategy & engrg to provide feedback thru product dvlpmnt to ensure lowest reasonable embodied/op C per product.
- Manage doc of material transparency certs. Train sales personnel & int/ext cust on how product sustainability initiatives apply to LEED & other green building rating systems.
- Keep up w/ dvlpmnts in green building sector to address future business needs.
- Collect & doc envrnmntl & sustainability data to grow sustainability presence of co.’s global org. Serve as foundational support to sustainability product strategy.
- Execute tactical initiatives to engage emps & strengthen brand.
- Lead sustainable product certs thru engrg process to accommodate cust demands.
- Understand & manage building construction process to manage Scope 3 demands from cust.
- Engage w/ architects & gen contractors on sustainability.
- Assist sales reps as elev sustainability SME. Understand LC differences b/w hydraulic & traction elev product lines.
- Work w/ mfg to implement envrnmntl goals incl energy efficiency goals & C targets. Dvlp road map for elev mfg facility to achieve renewable energy & energy efficiency/C emissions goals. Responsible for NA’s reporting to the GBU for the CSR based on GRI.
- Rep NA BU on global LC analysis product discussions.
- Work on industry benchmarking for elev EPDs & w/ elev field branch offices to implement total waste mgmt plan for 90% waste diversion goal, w/ clear understanding of elev branch office waste & job-site waste.
- Work w/ elev field offices & vendors to dvlp returnable/reusable packaging program & w/ branch offices to dvlp envrnmntl mgmt policies & plans regarding transport, hauling, containment, & disposal of oils, metals, lubricants, & other elev parts/equipment.
- Train branches on envrnmntl policies & audit branches to compliance. Implement envrnmntl mgmt programs in app field offices &/or mfg.
- Respond to cust requests regarding elev product engrg & sustainability.
- Integrate sustainability fully into product dvlpmnt roadmaps & planning efforts thru engrg for industry leadership. Identify & prioritize opps for sustainability efforts & rec strategies for proactively addressing relevant sustainability issues.
- Train sales reps on sustainability as relates to elevs, incl LEED, elev energy calcs, elev embodied C, & other sustainability topics.

- Track & analyze sustainability, tech, & innovation trends to identify growth & product opps.
- Provide recs to product dvlpmnt to meet reqs for sustainability. Integrate sustainability fully into product dvlpmnt roadmaps & planning efforts thru engrg.
- Serve as engrg sustainability lead on all engrg projects for new products to drive sustainability market reqs into design phase & implementation stages.
- Drive energy efficiency by tracking energy calcs against ISO 25745.
- Answer questions from engrs on elev product sustainability. Promote accomplishments internally & externally w/ int marketing team.
Who we are looking for
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering field.
- Must have 10 years of experience in elevator operations and elevator product sustainability.
- Must have experience in reviewing and understanding elevator engineering drawings and Bill of Materials for elevators.
- Must have experience with environmental management programs (i.e., ISO 9001, 14001, 14065, and 50001).
- Must have experience with elevator engineering, technology, sales, and repair to understand business implications of sustainability for elevators.
- Must have experience with elevator life cycle assessment. Must have experience in sustainable building design and construction.
- Must have experience working with suppliers toward lower carbon sourcing strategies. Must have experience working with the elevator field operations developing environmental policies/programs for safe handling and storage of elevator materials and lubricants.
- Must have experience in ISO certifications applicable to environmental elevator standards (i.e., ISO 25745, 9001, 14001, 14064, 14065, and 50001).
- Must have demonstrated knowledge of elevator environmental regulations and renewable energy market options.
- Must have legal authority to work in the U.S. EEOE.
We are offering a salary of $120,307 per year.
